朱華平，男，1977年出生，博士，研究員，博士生導師，院拔尖人才，養殖與營養研究室副主任。主要從事魚類遺傳育種研究工作，研究涉及羅非魚、禾花鯉新品種選育及健康養殖等領域。先后主持和參與國家自然科學基金、國家科技支撐計劃、農業行業專項和廣東省科技計劃等科研項目20余項。先后獲國家自然科學獎二等獎、廣東省科學技術獎一等獎、教育部科技進步獎一等獎、 中華農業科技獎二等獎和三等獎等科技獎勵8項。作為主要完成人培育出了羅非魚新品種-莫荷羅非魚“廣福1號”。獲授權專利7項。參與標準制定5項。主編著作1部，參編著作4部。公開發表學術論文80多篇。入選中國水科院首屆“百名英才”人選，獲首屆“中國水產青年科技獎”和中國水科院“中青年拔尖人才”榮譽稱號。現任中國水科院遺傳育種學術委員會委員，中國水產學會淡水養殖分會委員，廣東省農村專業技術協會第一、二屆理事。
