葉星，女，1962年出生。研究員，博士，博士研究生導師。國家特色淡水魚產業技術體系淡水鱸種質資源與品種改良崗位科學家。主要從事水產生物技術、遺傳育種、基因與基因工程研究。研究工作包括：①重要淡水魚類分子選育種研究；②草魚出血病病毒分子與基因工程亞單位疫苗研究；③轉基因魚研究。先后主持國家自然科學基金面上項目、國家高技術研究發展計劃（863計劃）子項目、現代農業產業技術體系建設項目、廣東省科技重點項目、廣東省自然科學基金、廣東省科技興漁項目等20多項。獲省部級獎勵16項，授權專利5件，頒布行業、地方標準５項，參編著作７部。兼任上海海洋大學、西南大學博士研究生導師，中國水產科學研究院學術委員會水產生物技術學科委員、中國水產學會水產生物技術專業委員會委員。廣州市荔灣區十五屆、十六屆人大代表。廣東省婦女創業專家指導團專家。
